Things I Love:

I love:

A baby sleeping on your chest.
Iris saying "Thanks Mama" everytime I give her anything.
Pink milk.
Bath time.
Donevan pausing while nursing, catching my eye, and giving me the biggest smile ever.
Baking.
Fresh eggs.
Redbox.
Recipes.
Iris saying "Hurt" and giving me the area of her body she thinks is hurt and my kisses making it "all better".
Wheel of Fortune

This list is actually 18 pages long and counting so I won't go too far into it. Some of you have actually seen my list. I started it in high school. It is a wonderful thing that I pull out and add to often. Everyone should have one. It makes you realize how much in this world there is to be happy about. I like being able to go through and see where I was in my life just by the things I was thankful for at that time. Things like volleyball and long bus trips remind of days that seem forever ago. Then there's the things like finishing a marathon and Kinsey, Montana. And things like being a mommy of two and pacifiers makes me realize how far I've come since high school. Sometimes I think that I haven't really done very much since then, but I look back on that list and I really have done a lot of things and been a lot of places in those 10 years. Makes me feel pretty good.

The Big Two-Eight

I just wanted to thank everyone for making my birthday so special. All the messages and phone calls. It's great to have so many wonderful friends and family members.

Evan did it again. He managed to surprise me. He convinced me that everyone was busy and couldn't do anything so we had planned on just staying home. We were doing some maternity/family pictures for some friends of ours and Evan said that they suggested going to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. I agreed and we headed down there. I should have suspected something when I went to print a coupon for the place and Evan had already printed it two days ago. Hmmm... But no... I was totally oblivious and walked right into the restaurant full of friends saying "Surprise!" Wow! They are all so sneaky. It was a lot of fun besides the fact that Donevan decided that it would be a good time to scream his lungs out and not be consoled in any way. But the food was excellent and the company even better. I really do have good friends. I thought it very fitting that the quote of the day today on my little calendar says this: "Happiness consists not in the multitude of friends, but in their worth and quality." According to that I am one of the happiest people out there.

Evan is so great for taking the time to plan all that. He really is a great husband and I don't tell him enough. I don't know how I got so lucky. Most of the time I feel like he deserves someone so much better than me, but I love that he loves me. I am incredibly blessed.

Thanks again to everyone for making me feel so loved!

Easy Kid's Apron

I saw this and thought that it looked really easy. Iris likes wearing aprons when she helps me cook/eat. So I'll have to give it a try and make a few of them.

Sophronia Piffle

I am starting a crafting blog. I called it Sophronia Piffle. It's just a funny name my dad always said and I've always liked it. And I thought it would be cute as a brand name. Think "Sophronia Piffle Designs" or "Sophronia Piffle Crafts". And it's just fun to say. I don't really have too much on the blog yet, but I will soon. I'm pretty excited for it.

Don't Be Overwhelmed...

I don't know why I insist on waiting until I have way too many pictures before I finally decide to post them on here. So once again I apologize for how many there are. But they are all great so enjoy.

These are from Donevan's blessing. He is so handsome. My mom made his outfit and I made the booties.

This was a treat I made for Evan for Valentine's Day. I got the recipe from Bakerella. They were sooo yummy. It's Oreo's and cream cheese dipped in chocolate. I thought they turned out pretty cute.

Iris' latest obsession is the little dirtbike that Evan got. She LOVES it. We have to be careful saying "motorcycle" because she will immediately stop what she is doing and go to the garage door and try to go out for a ride. She thinks it's great. I have to admit it is pretty fun to ride around on.

I've told a few people about her animals. She has so many "friends" that she has so sleep with and sometimes take all around the house. It's like she doesn't want a single one of them to feel left out. These are actually only the few that would fit in her chair with her. There are many more.

These are some priceless photos of Donevan with Great Grandma Dodge and Iris with Grandpa Dahl.

What a raggedy looking princess! She spotted this little crown from her birthday up on the shelf and insisted on wearing it.

Some fun with cousins, Morgan and Casey.

And Donevan with Nonnie.

Everybody knows that crayons belong in the car.

Apologies!!

Okay, Okay... Sorry for the last post. It doesn't have to be anything huge. Like it said, maybe just a nice letter or card, sent in the actual mail. So I'm going to try and post it again and clarify that you don't have to be crafty or creative, all you have to do is spread a little sunshine. Allison and Sadie you don't have to comment again, your surprises are in the works.

The first three people to respond to this post will get something made by me! Made with tons of love just for you! It might be a fun sewing project, a sweet letter to you from me, or some yummy goodies, you might be surprised what you get! Give it a try! The catch? You must re -post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a lovely little treat for themselves! Have Fun! Ready........Set............Go!

So much for sunshine...

I must say I am a little disappointed that nobody wants anything made by me except for Sadie. I guess she's going to get something really good!!
