Tahoe

We took a little drive up to Tahoe a week or two ago and took Iris to Sand Harbor. There was still snow on the ground but we still played in the sand a little bit.

Evan wanted to dip her feet in the water. It was a little chilly for her. The roses that are in the water were there when we got there. Random. They were really nice roses.

I am getting excited to go to Houston and spend a little time with Haley. The last time I flew with Iris she was only like 2 months and slept most of the time, so it will be interesting to see how she does this time.

Comes in like a lion

That saying about March coming in like a lion and going out like a lamb...I hope it's true. It has been a lion of a month. I really hate the wind. That seems to be all that we've had the past couple days. The weather is beautiful, if it weren't for the wind. But wind aside, I am getting some tulips and crocus coming up so I know that warm weather is in sight.

I think Iris is finally getting over the crud that she's been dealing with. Still a bit of a runny nose and cough but not as bad. And she lets me wipe her nose! She even blows a little now. Yeah!!!

Next week I am going to be with Haley whether that is in Houston or Ohio hasn't been determined yet, but I think Houston. Whereever it is, it's always fun to spend time with Haley and the boys. I think it's fun that Iris and Kade are only a month apart. Cousins are fun.

We didn't really do too much for Easter this year. We did color a few eggs but we didn't hunt for any or do any baskets or anything like that. I think next year will be more fun when Iris is old enough to know what's going on. We'll take some pictures of her in her Easter dress and post them on here. Here's a few of the eggs we colored.

Evan is such a sweetie. He made an egg for all the animals. Drawing a little cat on Tina's and a dog on Rowdy's and things like that. He is always surprising me with the things he comes up with.

Spring has Sprung

Iris has been sick for the past week. I feel so helpless. There's nothing we can give her, so she just coughs and has a really runny nose. Poor thing. Thank goodness for humidifiers and aspirators. Her poor little nose is so sore from all the tissue wiping I do. She even sees me coming towards her with a tissue and she starts crying.

She has really become quite the little Daddy's Girl. She really hates it when I take her away from her dad. He seems to be the only one in the world that she wants to hold her. Everyone says not to take it personal, but when she literally starts screaming when I take her from Evan, it's hard not to take it personal. I'm hoping it's just a phase.

We got some new bikes and a little trailer thing that Iris can sit in and took them for a ride yesterday. I love the warm weather. I hope that it stays warm this time. I can't wait to get my garden in. I love playing in the dirt.

Twenty-Seven

That always seemed like such a big number when I was only 20 and 21, but now that I have officially reached the 27 mark, it's not that bad. (As long as I don't think about how close 30 is.) Evan threw me a surprise party and I can't believe that I didn't find out. He had me thinking he was planning a barbeque next week and Mom and Dad came in to town and asked if I wanted to go car shopping with them. Evan also got me to believe that he just really didn't want to go and did I think my parents would care if he didn't. So anyways, we went and looked at cars, and on the way home Dad missed the turn for our road and we ended up driving around and coming in the other way. If we had come in the normal way I would have seen all the cars parked in the back. Also, Dad "accidentally" honked the horn as we parked in the driveway. I of course, still didn't catch on. So I go walking in the house and was completely surprised so see about 12 or so people in my living room all saying "Surprise!". Wow. It was so much fun. Got to see some people I haven't for a while. It was interesting because at my party last year, there were about four of us pregnant. This year there were babies everywhere. We ate and visited and had a good time. I am so thankful for all the wonderful friends and family that I am blessed with. I am grateful for every new year that I get to spend with them. I am most thankful for my parents who brought me into this world and have done so much to make me who I am. I also want to tell everyone how much I love Evan. He truly is one of a kind. He is always surprising me. What a great husband. He puts so much thought into things.
Well this is getting pretty long so I am going to stop, but I just wanted to tell everyone what a good birthday I had.(Beside the fact that Iris didn't go to sleep till almost 1:00 because she was sick.) I am glad to be 27.

Our Family

I decided to do a separate blog for our family and keep the one for our business just for our business. So you can still go to that and see new things that we are doing. I will put a link on this one to make it easy. So I am going to keep all our personal pictures and posts on this one. I need everyone else's blogs so I can put those links on here too. We love to keep up with everyone.
